A practical example
A fictional loft host could place a small “Guest Wi-Fi” card by the entry. The card would use a separate guest network rather than the host’s private home network.
Make the scan useful
Enter the exact network name, password and security setting. Place the code only where you are willing to share those credentials; anyone who can read the QR can obtain the details.
- Choose a guest network you manage and enter its current details.
- Download and print the native Wi-Fi code.
- Test joining on a compatible device that is not already connected.
What to check before sharing
If the SSID, password or security changes, create and print a new code and replace old signs. Updating a saved QRTech resource cannot rewrite credentials already encoded on paper.
Can I edit the Wi-Fi password behind an existing printed code?
No. The printed QR contains the old credentials. Download a new native code and replace the printed copies.
Can QRTech count native Wi-Fi scans?
No. A native Wi-Fi scan does not pass through an online QRTech redirect, so QRTech cannot count it as an online visit.
